Room at the Inn

About Us

Room at the Inn is a Colorado non-profit organization whose mission is to help homeless families with minor children return to independence.  Homelessness comes to families through the loss of a job, major illness, abandonment of a spouse or major provider and other factors.  It is a crisis of logistics and emotions.  With assistance from local churches, Room at the Inn provides the means and the support to help these families regain their independence.

The purpose of Room at the Inn is to provide services to these homeless families.  Our services include providing first for the immediate needs of food, shelter, and clothing. Further services include case management for adults, enrollment in life skills and educational courses, and educational support for minors who are in school (i.e, transportation issues, parent/teacher liaison, etc.) Room at the Inn served 102 people last year with 57 being minor children.  Our success rate for helping families achieve self-sustenance and moving into their own long-term housing was 90%.  Other achievements included 14 clients were assisted in enrolling in college or specialized vocational courses, 42 clients found employment and all adult clients graduated from our parenting, budgeting, and computer basics courses.

Room at the Inn is able to provide these services through the support of local “Network” churches.  Without these churches Room at the Inn would not be possible.
